How does the Security Breach Alert work?

When you sign in to Dashlane, sometimes you might notice that a security breach has been reported on one or more of the websites that you have an account with.
Here is how it works: we have a partnership with a company called Pwnedlist that specializes in collecting and verifying information about potential security breaches. Thanks to this partnership, we are informed every time a breach is reported on a specific website. We transfer this information so our users can be alerted if they have an account on a compromised website.
When a website is reported as compromised we will also mark any other websites in which you may be using the same password as the compromised site in the Security Dashboard.
Dashlane will allow you to generate a new password and replace your existing credential by visiting the compromised sites directly from the Security Dashboard.
