11-09-2014This effect has become considerable enough to be noticed on a global scale: marketing groups attribute a near doubling of platinum jewelry sales in China to "China's 'spoiled brat' generation."

11-09-2014Little Emperors also bear the burden of heavy expectations. Parents who feel they lost their chance in the Cultural Revolution ("compensation syndrome"[1]) put immense pressure on these children to succeed and compete academically.[4] From an early age parents push their only child to educational extremes as they cater to their whims; "though many of these precocious kids can recite the English alphabet or read newspapers in traditional Chinese characters by the time they're 10, their parents often still perform basic tasks for them: fixing their hair, tying their shoes, wiping their bottoms."[6] Boarding school, private English lessons, music lessons and an additional range of extracurricular activities are the normal fare.[1]

i'm pretty sure my parents spent more on cigarettes and beer than food and clothes for me
my first computer was one that the school was giving away for free in 2000 (it was one of those old ones with the big floppy drives) then in 2002 i upgraded to my mothers old packard bell with windows 95 on it
in like 2005 i got my first REAL computer when i started getting to see my dad again and he built a new computer and gave me his old one. I was finally able to play actual games with all the other kids

didn't read that, just predicting that you denied it. anyway, it's clearly true. you're one of the most self righteous entitled little pieces of shit I've ever met, you blame everyone else for your problems, and you're convinced that you're the smartest guy on the block based on ...? nothing I guess? you were clearly coddled and had people constantly stroking your ego growing up, trying to help you gain some self esteem, but instead of confidence you ended up with delusions of grandeur. you're the very personification of the american school system's little emperor syndrome.

just the fact that you posted a wikipedia article about this, like you're the only person who ever heard of it, says volumes about your attitude. but does mr deep thinker recognize himself in that wikipedia article of course not reflection is hard it's way easier to pontificate about how you could fix the whole world if only the dullards in charge would recognize what a brilliant philosopher you are
