Where are these other universes though? Are they physically outside the boundaries of our universe, but we just haven't collided with another universe yet? Are they in alternate dimensions? Are they perhaps permanently separate from us such that we could never interact with them in any way, but they exist nonetheless?
That's almost straying into the more philsophical: the void, the chaos, there is everything and nothing, all possibility. What if our very existence is 'just' a virtual possibility, and isn't even actually happening? It's just chaos telling a story that changes and shifts at its own whim.

It's thoughts like these that make me start to think that all there is in the universe is "mind", and everything else is a projection. That's when shit starts getting creepy and I can no longer differentiate between a chaotic system and my own will affecting its outcome; I see a flag blowing in the wind and it'll start blowing in whichever direction I believe it to blow. Creepy, drug induced, terrifying.. just have to shut it out when I get to that point.

If a galaxy is moving in one direction at 51% the speed of light, and another galaxy is moving in the exact opposite direction at 51% the speed of light, then light between those two galaxies will never reach each other, and it could seem as though the other galaxy were moving faster than the speed of light..

What I was saying though is that the speed at which matter is moving outwards from the point of the big bang is increasing exponentially. At a certain point on the X axis of that exponential curve, it will have surpassed 300,000km/s -- unless for some unknown reason it were to suddenly plateau before then and all of our calculations are wrong

The internet was a much better place when only 10% of people spent all day rotting on it instead of 90% of people like today.. it is now the main medium being targeted by corporations; and the very first thing on their agenda was doing an absolutely amazing job of convincing people that the internet is some kind of scarce resource, and that its use is some kind of privilege that can be revoked..
True anonymity and the liberty to say anything to someone without consequence, no matter how vulgar, is essential for free thought on the internet; when the influx of dipshits happened, it happened too fast for all of them to be caught up to speed, and they threw out the old paradigm and put in place a new one.
I'm particularly hard hit by the internet turning to shit: medical studies used to come up on google for virtually any drug-related question I could think of; it was an information paradise. Now, they give you an abstract of the medical study and expect you to pay if you want to read the whole thing.. Free and accurate information used to be literally everywhere; now every time I do a search for the answer to a question, Yahoo answers is always at the top, full of jackasses giving their worthless opinions on something. I have to dig for 20 minutes to find the information that used to take 30 seconds and was right in the first link

They were supposed to upgrade everything to fiber and throw out the copper, instead they just used the grants to do slightly more than standard maintenance, called it "improving the infrastructure", and pocketed tax payers money.
