well it goes as fast as my isp let's them go I can get up to 4mb downloads when downloading steam games which I immediately delete etc

one port is intel the other is something else I don't know if it makes a difference or if one effects overall computer performance or what though

power costs what like $0.10 /kwh? so if your faster ethernet port dissipates an extra watt (which is a fuckton, a typical ethernet port dissipates 400mw) then it costs you an additional 1/100th of a cent per hour, or 7.3 extra cents each month if you leave it on 24/7
